Vasiliki (she prefers to go by Vaso) received her Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Southern Connecticut State University and she also holds a Master’s in Psychology and a Master’s in Sociology from Panteion University in Athens, Greece. Vaso has over 10 years of experience in the mental health field. She has served as a counselor at the National University Mental Health Research Institute and the Elefthos Center for Counseling and Psychotherapy, both in Athens, Greece, and she has served as a therapist providing individual, couples and family therapy at Milford Youth Services and the Family Therapy Clinic of SCSU. Most recently Vaso served as a Clinical Care Manager at the Wheeler Clinic in their Therapeutic Foster Care Program where she worked with children and youth suffering from PTSD, ADHD, ODD and other behavioral and mental health issues related to severe trauma, including a history of multiple placements and removals within foster care. Vaso believes in the importance of helping to normalize the crises and life stressors that her clients are faced with and she is committed to supporting them in achieving balance, peace and satisfaction within themselves and their relationships. Vaso is experienced working with individuals, couples and families struggling with a range of issues including anxiety, PTSD, depression, grief and loss, anger management, communication difficulties, strained relationships and parenting problems. She also has extensive experience working with children and teens who are grappling with trauma, ADHD, anger, depression, anxiety and grief.
