Mary earned her BA in Sociology and Women’s Studies from SUNY Purchase New York, her Masters of Science in Education from Mercy College of New York, and her MSW degree from the University of Connecticut. She has over twenty years of experience as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who is skilled at working with victims of intimate partner violence, children who have been abused and neglected, and troubled adolescents and their family systems. She also specializes in working with substance abuse issues, grief and loss, and a range of emotional and relationship difficulties. Mary has completed a two year training at The Croton Mystery School that focuses on how to open the heart to deeper healing, how to deepen understanding of the mystery of union, how to celebrate the beauty and challenge of participating fully in the human condition, and how to explore and fiercely speak the truth. Mary is passionate about guiding others as they seek healing on their journey while learning to enjoy each moment, especially this moment. Additionally, she is a certified co-counselor and she has been a student of Thich Nhat Hahn for almost 20 years.
